Midlands Video Company Recognised on International Stage

Communication Matters, a DVD by Midlands video production company iceni, for Birmingham City Council and the National Deaf Children’s Society, is Highly Commended at the 2008 International Visual Communications Association Clarion Awards.

The video, narrated by BBC Midlands presenter Shefali Oza, features Asian children, young people and their families reflecting on the impact of deafness.

Speaking at the ceremony at the British Film Institute, Marco Forgione, IVCA Chief Executive, said, ‘These awards celebrate companies who have shown a real commitment to ethical, socially responsible and environmental communications. This year’s nominations showcase the outstanding, creative work that is being produced for both corporate and broadcast clients.’

Previous winners of Clarion Awards include Al Gore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sir Paul McCartney, The National Theatre, The National Trust, The Samaritans, BBC and Channel 4.
