Iceni helps Everest put new kitchen range in the picture

Midlands-based communications experts iceni Productions cooked up a creative storm when they were called in to help home improvement giant Everest promote its new kitchen collection.

Everest’s bold move into a highly competitive market has been bolstered by a DVD produced by iceni for use in direct marketing mail outs.

The DVD will form an integral part of Everest’s advertising plan and is also being prepared for exhibition displays and web or e-mail streaming.

Everest say that because the company operates without showrooms, iceni’s work will be a vital sales tool.

DVD producer Cathy Bentley, said: “Everest has improved more than a million homes. It’s great to be involved in such an exciting product, especially as our company has the same core value of delivering a top quality product.

“It was essential for us to sell the brand as a lifestyle choice. This determined our cast and choice of shots.

“Everest also wanted to highlight the care they take at installation, understanding that minimising disruption to the customer is a huge selling point. Our voiceover scripting had to subtly re-iterate this message throughout.

“In essence, the viewer should appreciate that, while Everest is not the cheapest option, the company offers its customers guarantees of quality, value, service and peace of mind.”

Duncan Bland, Marketing Director at Everest, said: “The launch of Everest Kitchens marks the latest stage in Everest's transition towards providing an integrated range of home improvement services.

“For over 40 years we have been committed to providing excellent customer service and looking after homeowners carrying out home improvements. We will continue to provide this excellent customer service for people conducting what can be one of the most stressful home improvements imaginable - replacing a kitchen. “Customers have for a long time known Everest as experts in double glazing and conservatories, but there’s much more to us now. We apply the same core values of high quality and value for money across our entire range of over 30 products.”

Everest’s Head of Product Marketing, Hugh Moss, added: “I am delighted with the finished DVD and have received very positive feedback so far.”
